Jon is a versatile sponsorship, partnerships, marketing and communications professional with 20 years experience. He set up his own consultancy in December 2017, which works with agencies, brands and rights holders across business development, sponsorship strategy, sales, management and activation. A graduate of Loughborough University, he started his career in Leeds at a marketing agency working across multiple properties in football, cricket, motorsport, rugby league and boxing.
After moving south to London and two Director level agency roles leading sponsorship for companies such as Aviva, Samsung, Wrigley’s, the FIA World Rally Championship, QBE, Barclays and The Co-Operative, he moved client side in 2010.
As Head of Sponsorship Partnerships at Barclays, Jon was responsible for leading Barclays’ global sponsorship strategy and portfolio. His sponsorship property experience covers sport, entertainment and the arts, including the Barclays Premier League, Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, The 02, British Museum, National Maritime Museum, Donmar Warehouse and Barclays Cycle Hire.
