An exploration of trauma-informed terminology

The Alliance of Sport contributed to this resource and we’d like to draw particular attention to the ‘trauma thermology’ diagram on page 12 which shows the spectrum of operationalisation of trauma-informed approaches.

Dr Alex Walker, Vicky J. Jones and Joanne C. Hopkins have authored the report, produced by the Adverse Childhood Experience Support Hub Cymru with funding from Public Health Wales.

The ACE Support Hub was established in 2017 and has been funded by Welsh Government for the last four years to increase awareness of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and bring about systems transformation to prevent, mitigate and tackle the impact of ACEs across the life course.
