Notts County FITC
FITC are a multi-award winning, independent, community, sports charity which use the power/brand of the world’s oldest football league club, Notts County FC, to engage with Nottingham’s disadvantaged, marginalised, talented, special populations.
We work under four main areas of work (education, health, social inclusion, sports participation) delivering sports based provision to individuals across Nottingham/Nottinghamshire. The work delivered here works by using sport has the hook to deliver wider social outcomes. Examples of programmes that we deliver include; a community wider mental health package (including children, young people, men, women, in-patients), men with working age dementia, weight management for adults and children, alternative education provision for excluded youth, Cancer and Rehabilitation Exercise programme, diversionary projects for disengaged youth, mass sports participation, school holiday activities, the list could go on.
