Filling a gap in the provision, our sport ‘Ventures’ was developed entirely from the child’s perspective. Venture I and II are the result of six years work experiencing, evaluating and evolving new programmes.
Our sport, an Adventure Therapy predominantly takes place in natural outdoor settings and is a preventative subscription to poor mental health, in particular for children with unstable parental relationships. Venture I for FAMILIES with CHILDREN under the age of fourteen: A unique experiential learning programme developed to help children build up the underlying CONFIDENCE and SKILLS they need to remain active into adulthood. As well as training on probably the most useful physical activity programme they will experience, the children learn how to recognise their PERSONAL STRENGTHS as they move from one Venture to the next. The emphasis is on providing a caring, fear-free environment so the children can develop intrinsic motivation, autonomy and purpose in their lives.
