‘Dream Fund’ open for sporting charity applications
Not-for-profit organisations who are “transforming society through sport” are encouraged to apply for up to £1million from the Dream Fund to deliver a “big and ambitious” partner project.
The scheme, launched by the People’s Postcode Lottery Dream Trust, is to give organisations the chance to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life.
Any proposed project must have an “original and impactful approach to tackling a serious social issue” and the lead for the project must be a registered charity.
The funding targets the following key themes: changing lives through early intervention; ending loneliness and social isolation; protecting Britain’s biodeversity; sustainable systems change and – most pertinently for Alliance of Sport members – transforming society through sport.
The Trust added: “We ask charitable organisations across Great Britain to think big, be ambitious and collaborate with other not-for-profit partners to deliver their dream project.”
The deadline for applications is August 31 and more details can be found here.
