Ivan Clark

Ivan Clark was, until June 2018, the lead partner responsible for Risk & Quality in PwC Brazil covering professional risk, standards of quality of work, network standards, ethics, anti-money laundering regulatory, public policy and related affairs and Board member of the firm.

He was formerly the lead partner responsible for the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services practice with PwC Brazil (5,500 professionals) and the managing partner of the PwC Rio de Janeiro office (700 professionals), also heading up its audit practice and member of the Global Capital Markets Board and the PwC IFRS Board.

He is a member of a number of business associations and active in developing corporate governance.  More recently, he has been actively involved in promoting Governance in Sports (ICSA events).  Through June 2018, Ivan was a member of the Brazilian Rugby Federation (CBRU) Finance Committee – the CBRU has been granted the top sports governance award in Brazil these last few years.

He has lived and worked in Edinburgh, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and the US (St. Louis and New York) and now currently based in London and Bristol.

An Anglo-Brazilian (born in Rio de Janeiro), Ivan is a Scottish Chartered Accountant and Brazilian Registered Accountant (CVM certified) and a graduate of Stirling University, Scotland (primary education – Brazil; secondary education – Fettes College, Edinburgh). He was formerly the President of the British Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo (four years). He holds a FT Non-Executive Director (Pearson) diploma (Jan/16).

At the Alliance of Sport, Ivan is Vice Chair of Trustees, the Senior Independent Director and Chair of our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
