Southeast Asia Sport and Youth Crime Prevention (SYCP) Initiative: Q Methodology research with University of Bath, UK
Working in association with the Southeast Asia Sport and Youth Crime Prevention (SYCP) Initiative, the University of Bath is conducting an independent research project to examine the factors that are considered critical to establishing stakeholder networks and cross-sector partnerships as part of capacity-building initiatives using sport.
The study will adopt an innovative Q Methodology approach which aims to capture opinions, values or beliefs about what works when establishing stakeholder networks and partnership collaborations.
The research team have developed a survey which requires informed individuals to rank a series of 25 statements based on how much they agree or disagree with each statement. We are seeking informed individuals to complete this survey with specific knowledge and experience of working in partnership and contributing to capacity-building initiatives in sport and/or crime prevention activities.
Full instructions on how to participate in the research are provided in the link below, as well as information about how the responses that you provide will be used (and information on confidentiality). We would anticipate that it will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the survey.
Your contribution will directly support the development of stronger, more effective cross-sector collaboration – both within your country and across Southeast Asia. Findings from the research will inform the creation of a National Network Toolkit designed to strengthen national networks and partnership working under the SYCP Initiative. Participants will receive a copy of the toolkit and a summary of findings, enabling you to apply the learning to your own partnership, policy, and social-change initiatives. By taking part, you will help shape practical guidance that supports more coordinated, evidence-informed, and sustainable approaches to sport-based youth crime prevention across the region.
