On January 23rd James was delighted to present alongside Sarah Mortiboys, CEO for Bristol Sport Foundation and Laura Cordingley, CEO for Chelsea Football Foundation to the next cohort of 30 inductees on the Sport Industry Group NextGen programme.

Sport Industry NextGen

Launched by Sport Industry Group in 2015, Sport Industry NextGen is a prestigious professional development programme that provides the best emerging talent in the industry with a tailored year-long leadership package which includes extensive training, personal development and networking opportunities.

Open to those under the age of 30, successful applicants have direct access to some of the brightest minds and best organisations within sport and business through interactive best-practice, learning, and leadership sessions.

The Kick-Off is the beginning of the programme, where the Sport Industry NextGen Leaders participate in a range of tasks that will serve as the foundation of a valuable network. The Coaches observe and engage with the Leaders as they challenge them to take risks, learn, and demonstrate their leadership capabilities.

Also speaking at the NextGen Kick-Off was Tim Hollingsworth OBE, Chief Executive of Sport England.

“I was privileged to present to this remarkable group and facilitate alongside key figures and organisations in the sector. This programme is a fantastic initiative, empowering future leaders to shape the sport sector for the better. A huge thank you to the Sports Industry Group for championing our next generation of leaders.”

James Mapstone, Alliance of Sport Chief Executive Officer
